The People’s Watchdog: How Felix Mambo Became the Voice of Accountability in Machakos
Hon. Felix Mambo (often referred to as Simba Mtoto ) is a prominent political figure and social activist in Machakos County, Kenya. He is particularly well-known for his vocal stance on governance, accountability especially on Machakos county Governor Hon.  Wavinya Ndeti  and the welfare of residents in the Mavoko and Athi River regions.

While he is frequently addressed as "Honorable Mambo" by his supporters and in local social circles, he is a significant political actor in the following contexts:
1. Political Activism and Oversight
Mambo is recognized as a fierce critic of the Machakos County government. He has positioned himself as an "oversight" figure, often using social media and public forums to highlight issues such as:
>Infrastructure  :  Advocating for the repair of damaged roads, specifically in areas like Mlolongo.
>Accountability : Publicly challenging the county leadership on the use of devolved funds and public resources.
>Youths supporter : He has actively participated in the issue of Kamba content creator Sammy Kioko who offered a job tender to Machakos County government and his payment delayed , Hon. Mambo was seen even paying a visit to Governor Wavinya office but he waas denied the access to enter

2. Legal Battle with the County Leadership
In late 2024, Felix Mambo gained national attention due to a high-profile legal dispute with Machakos Governor Wavinya Ndeti. He was arrested and charged at the Mavoko Law Courts with publishing false information under the Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Act where ;
>The Allegation: He was accused of posting on social media that the Governor and her son were enjoying themselves in the UK while Machakos residents were suffering—a claim the Governor vehemently denied.
>The Outcome: Mambo pleaded not guilty and has since used the legal case as a platform to double down on his "I won’t back down" stance against what he terms as political intimidation.

3. Local Leadership
In the Mavoko/Athi River area, he is seen as a grassroots leader. He often acts as a bridge for residents seeking to reach authorities regarding safety hazards, social amenities, and bursary distributions. His "Honorable" title stems from his deep involvement in local politics and his perceived role as a representative of the "common mwananchi" in Machakos.

Now Hon. Felix Mambo who is a good friend to Mavoko MP , he looks forward to occupy Mavoko constituency Member of Parliament seat during 2027 campaigns
