"I Am Not Afraid": Mama Githaiga Vows to Oust Kitengela Leaders in 2027 Defiance
KITENGELA — The political landscape in Kitengela is heating up as local residents begin to voice their frustrations ahead of the next general election. Leading the charge is Mama Githaiga, a woman in her 50s who has emerged as a staunch critic of the current leadership, declaring that her vote—and the votes of her community—are no longer for sale.

In a bold public address, Mama Githaiga delivered a "one-term" ultimatum to several high-ranking officials, citing betrayal and a lack of genuine concern for the people.

No Price Tag on the Vote
Mama Githaiga opened her remarks with a stern warning against voter bribery. She made it clear that she will not be influenced by handouts from leaders who have failed to prioritize the needs of the electorate.

"Siwaogopi (I am not afraid of them)," she stated. "I will not be bribed to vote for leaders who do not care for the people."

The Rigathi Gachagua Factor
A central theme of her defiance involves the political fate of former Vice President Rigathi Gachagua. Mama Githaiga sent a direct warning to any Kitengela leader who played a role in voting out the former VP, asserting that their political careers would be short-lived. She predicted that these leaders would serve only a single term as a consequence of their actions.

Warnings to State House Officials
The activist also took aim at Katoo Ole Metito, advising him to remain in his current role at State House rather than seeking a political seat in the region. According to Mama Githaiga, Ole Metito is "not wanted" by the people, and any attempt to run for office would be met with rejection at the ballot box.

"Sisi tuko one term na sisi ndio Kitengela na hatutaona tukifinyiliwa," she declared—emphasizing that the people of Kitengela will no longer tolerate being oppressed or ignored.

Criticism of the Kajiado Women Rep
The recent Mimax event, which has become a flashpoint for local political tension, was also addressed. Mama Githaiga condemned the Kajiado Women Representative for her contribution of 50,000 Ksh toward the event.

Labeling the amount as "little" and insufficient for the community's needs,Mama Githaiga warned that such gestures would not save the Women Rep from being voted out in 2027.

The Road to 2027
The message from Mama Githaiga is clear: Kitengela residents are waking up to their power. By declaring a "one-term" limit for those she deems negligent, she has signaled a growing movement of resistance against the political status quo, promising a reckoning at the polls in the coming year.
